Shining a light of comfort for the final journey Home

A Partner for the Final Journey

In my long career as a Chief Operating Officer for non-profits, I learned to provide clarity and calm for others by maintaining a lighthearted spirit. As an End-of-Life Doula, I walk shoulder-to-shoulder with your loved one, bridging the gap between clinical and sacred with that same intent. My goal is to bring ease, even joy, so that your loved one can focus on what matters most for their final journey Home.

Lighthearted Accompaniment

I call my approach to the end of life “healeōlogy” (hee – lee – AH – luh – jee). Despite the fear, pain, and grief we encounter with death, I deeply believe there is intrinsic dignity and beauty in this natural experience we all share. This belief fuels my dedication to serve as an end-of-life doula with this lighthearted accompaniment. The three core principles of my healeōlogy are:

  1. Acceptance: Honoring our human body-mind-spirit nature in its entirety.
  2. Discipline: Embracing growth through all cycles of life, including death.
  3. Imagination: Seeing the wonder of our connection to humankind and nature.

Dani is fully tapped in, knowing what you *need* even when you don’t. Perhaps especially when you don’t.”

My Doula Offerings

I describe each of my 5 offerings as a light that I shine for your loved one

Depending on the shifting landscape of your loved one’s needs, I hold up different lights to show the way. You can consider these “lights” my end-of-life services. Think of me as a long-lost Cousin—a familiar, accepting, steady partner who shifts roles as your loved one’s needs evolve:

Light of "Cousin"
COMPANIONSHIP

The anchor of companionship. I hold space and provide a steady, grounded presence at the bedside, ensuring your loved one never has to walk this path alone. We arrange a regular visit schedule so that I help fill in the gaps and give relief to other caregivers.

Light of "Coach"
PLANNING

The clarity in the confusion. I provide the tools to organize logistics, helping you and your loved one make decisions that honor their values. We walk through checklists and resources on end-of-life planning to sort through the most practical matters.

Light of "Healer"
REIKI & VIGIL

The sanctuary for the spirit. Whether through Reiki, guided meditation, or intentional vigil planning, I help tend to the energy and atmosphere of your loved one’s space. We arrange sacred time dedicated to uplifting the spirit through this time of transition.

Light of "Bard"
LEGACY WORK

The tender of your loved one’s story. I help your loved one harvest wisdom, articulate what matters most, and weave a lasting record of their unique legacy. We partner to document memories and milestones in written, audio, and visual form.

Light of "Mystic"
ASTROLOGY

The lens of the infinite. I offer an optional perspective through psycho-spiritual astrology, illuminating the hidden arcs of your loved one’s life journey. We join with open hearts and open minds to explore their life as spoken through the rhythms of the cosmos.

A Partner, Not a Product

My support is as fluid as your loved one’s needs. We are never tethered to a rigid plan; instead, we hold our intentions lightly. Today, they might need the Cousin to sit by their side; tomorrow, they might need the Coach to help manage an urgent decision. My gift as a doula is in shifting to meet your loved one’s needs in the moment.

I offer time-based commitments to ensure I am available when you need me most. Within that time, I will show up shining whichever light—Cousin, Coach, Healer, Bard, or Mystic—best serves the moment.
